It was announced today that Old Dominion will be the final participant in the eight-team 2007 Findlay Toyota Las Vegas Invitational basketball tournament in which Louisville will also be a participant.
The final field consists of: Louisville, ODU, North Carolina, BYU, Iona, South Carolina State, Jackson State and Hartford. If the Cardinals and Tar Heels were to win their first two games on their home floor, they would then meet in Vegas where the semifinal and final rounds will be played on Nov. 23 and 24.
The tournament is an NCAA exempt event, meaning all teams involved will play the same number of games.
In last year's tournament, eventual national champion Florida was knocked off in the championship game by Kansas in an overtime thriller.
Coach Pitino has also arranged a game with UNLV on their home floor as part of the Vegas trip. The game with the Runnin' Rebs will probably be played on Tuesday or Wednesday of Thanksgiving week, with the tournament slated for that weekend.
