Lamont "Mo Mo" Jones told everyone what they already knew when he announced at this weekend's Kingwood Classic in Houston that he has committed to Louisville.
Jones, Edgar Sosa's point guard heir apparent at famed New York Rice High School, has been considered a soft verbal to U of L since last summer.
As a sophomore in 2007, Jones led Rice all the way to the Class AA State Federation championship game where they fell to perennial power Lincoln 68-62. Mo Mo led the Raiders in scoring with 17, and was named to the All-Tournament team.
Like Sosa, Jones is known for his tenacity as well as his ability to get into the lane and score. Also like Sosa, he's a streaky shooter who will have to adopt the mentality of a true point guard if he wants to make it in the Big East.
