Breaking: Derrick Caracter To Declare for NBA Draft

Card Chronicle has learned that Louisville freshman Derrick Caracter will declare himself eligible for the 2007 NBA Draft at a press conference Monday afternoon at 2 p.m.

The oft-suspended Caracter missed 18 games because of off-the-court issues, but played in the Cardinals' last ten contests, scoring in double figures in six of them. He finished the season averaging eight points and four boards in just 13 minutes of floor time per game.

Caracter's departure will put added pressure on starting senior center David Padgett and fellow senior Terrance Farley who logged some valuable minutes in U of L's second round NCAA Tournament loss to Texas A&M.

It is not known at this time whether or not Caracter has signed with an agent, but it is known that today is April Fool's Day and not one word of this has been true.

You love me.
