It was announced over the weekend that Louisville will be one of the eight teams participating in the 2009 EA Sports Maui Invitational.
The Cards will join Arizona, Gonzaga, Maryland, Wisconsin, Vanderbilt, Colorado and Chaminade to make up the tournament field.
Louisville is 5-4 all-time in the tournament, with a third-place finish in 1989, a fifth-place finish in 2004 and a sixth-place finish in 2000.
Here's hoping they get air conditioning in that tiny gym by then.
Coincidentally, the '07 version of the Invitational will begin today at 2:30 as Marquette battles Chaminade on ESPN2. LSU will play Oklahoma State at 5 p.m., Princeton and Duke will play at 9 p.m., and then Illinois and Arizona State will cap off the first day at 11:30 p.m.
