Terrence Jennings commits to Louisville

A great night just got that much better.

According to Jody Demling, 6-foot-10 Notre Dame Prep (MA) star Terrence Jennings has committed to Louisville.

Jennings, a consensus top 15 player in the class of 2008, had been rumored to be looking at a number of schools after recently decommitting from Maryland, but verballed to Louisville after spending this weekend on campus with his father.

"Louisville is a good fit for my son," Jerry Jennings told The C-J. "I told him that good people help you out. We loved the way (the U of L staff) presented everything to us."

"When he landed and when he saw the facilities and the good people," the elder Jennings added. "All of the love and the family-type atmosphere. This is something he really wanted."

Jennings already has a Big East body and is very athletic for someone his size. He's a strong defender and a great finisher around the basket.

Jennings becomes the third member of Louisville's '08 recruiting class, joining New Jersey big man Samardo Samuels and New York point guard Melquan Bolding. The Cardinals are also reportedly the front-runner to land the services of American Christian (PA) superstar Tyreke Evans, a player who, if he commits, would almost certainly make this the number one recruiting class in the country.
