Red-White Scrimmage slated for Oct. 22

In just ten days:

University of Louisville men's basketball coach Rick Pitino will provide a preseason look at the 2007-08 Cardinals when his team plays a Red-White intrasquad scrimmage on Monday, Oct. 22 at 7 p.m. in Freedom Hall.

Tickets for the event are $5 for adults and free for U of L students and children under the age of 12. Tickets will go on sale beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 15 at both U of L Ticket Offices, located near Gate 2 of Papa John's Cardinal Stadium or on the third floor of the Swain Student Activities Center. Both locations are open weekdays from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Cardinal fans may also purchase adult tickets only by visiting www.ticketmaster.com online, calling (502) 361-3100 or by visiting any Ticketmaster Ticket Center, including statewide Kroger locations. Service fees do apply with Ticketmaster orders. Child and U of L student tickets are available only through the U of L ticket office and at the site on the day of the event. The football team still has my full support, but I'd be lying if I said full basketball mode wasn't setting in at a fast and furious pace.

Just keep your fingers crossed for no injuries, because if someone goes down sometime before now and Nov. 17 then I think I'm going to have been pushed past my breaking point. If Earl Clark tears an ACL at this scrimmage, the next time you'll see me I'll be in an asylum teaching some freakishly tall Deaf and Dumb Indian how to play basketball...only later I'll find out that he's not really Deaf and Dumb...and then after I'm lobotomized he'll kill me.
