Can't say this is much of a surprise or disappointment. The bright spot here is that it's always a lot more fun proving that you're underrated than overrated as was the case last season. The only thing to be upset over is UahKay being ranked 22nd.
We were pretty sure the commonwealth would be entirely left out of this poll, but but we forgot that Sandy Bell invites voters to her house every week and treats them to a lavish meal of fine wine and puppies.
Five Big East schools made the cut: Pitt (5), Georgetown (8), Marquette (17), Uconn (18) and Syracuse (20). Arizona, whom the Cards will face in the Jimmy V Classic on Dec. 5, is ranked 10th. Depaul and Villanova joined Louisville in the "Others Receiving Votes" category.
Defending national champion Florida received 30 of 31 first-place votes. Ohio State received the other.
