Changes To Basketball Schedule

The big winner here is Bellarmine University which has been added as the final participant in the NABC classic. Is there a city rivalry on the horizon??? Stay tuned.

The Knights join Louisville, Ohio and St. Joseph's in the round robin tournament which will take place on Dec. 8-10. The Cardinals will open with Ohio on the 8th, then play St. Joe's the next night, and then finish with Scotty D's boys on the 10th. A good time shall be had by all, but especially Louisville and to a lesser extent St. Joe's.

Bellarmine had originally been scheduled to play Louisville in the team's opening exhibition on Nov.1, that slot will now be filled by Georgetown college who will take on the Cardinals for the first time since 1972.

U of L also announced that home games against Providence (Jan. 13) and Seton Hall (Mar. 4) will be televised nationally by ESPN.

Update: The Red/White scrimmage previously scheduled for this Saturday has been postponed until Friday, Oct. 27 at 5 p.m. Among the reasons given for the delay is (not surprisingly) the availability of enough players to conduct an actual scrimmage. A stress fracture was discovered last week in the second metatarsal of Earl Clark's right foot, keeping him out of practice for at least another two weeks. Brandon Jenkins (ankle) and David Padgett (knees) remain sidelined with injuries, and Derrick Caracter allegedly may miss some early pracitcies because of "conditioning issues."

Thank God for Bobby Petrino
