VMI

is there really anything else to say except for way to go VMI!

I Love it... UK LOOKED REALLY good in exhibitions and EVEN had me thinking they could be a scary surprise... but then tonights loss at home to VMI showed that they still have sevedal rungs on the ladder to climb out from being mediocre.

Well, I donh't think UK will lose more than 10 games and do believe they will be no less than an 8 seed in tourney... I hope they lose more and more frequrnetly...

I don't mind to bash the cats... it is what I love!

Go VMI!

Stay healthy Cards!

Rick Pitino

was a busy man on ESPN today.

First, he was on ESPN's First Take and just moments ago he was on Jim Rome is Burning.

Both appearances were to promote his new book "Rebound Rules: The Art of Success 2.0" written by Rick Pitino and Pat Forde.

His appearance on Jim Rome was a humbling one.  He spoke more about tragedies in his life; 1. His son Daniel Pitino passing away as an infant and 2. losing his besy friend in life and brother and law Billy Minardi in 9-11.

I knew about both incidents, but I just thought the way he spoke of how sports was his passion and basically his keep on keepin on to stay positve and remember them in a positive way.

Have a good day people...

Go Cards!

"Starting to turn the corner"

FINALLY Krapthorpe has said something I like.  I know just a few posts ago I was ready for a new coach and ready to give the job to Ron English... And believe me... I woul still do it tomorrow...  But this whole give the guy his time and let him get his system and personnell in there... is slowly making osme progress...

Don't get me wrong, by no means am I sending Krapthorpe a christmas card this year... but he still  has time to say some things and get some things done before my cards get in the mail...

Go Cards!

Mister Victor

Big Time in the Prime Time.  Victor Anderson showed that the future for this offense is bright... We definately have the talent to make things happen as he showed tonight!

Good Game for Hunter Cant-throw-well as Ive heard it be said.. he still missed on a some throws... but tonight he reminded us of why we were so high on him coming into the season... he was a leader out there.... Good Game!

I was telling somebody that even thought it was Kansas State... We were doing things in a fundamentally sound way.  It looked good... Good execution on things...

The defense could have had a stellar game if they didn't miss 17 tackles on 3 plays that gave up 197 yards...  (punt return and 2 passes) I didnt like the penalties... got a little sloppy for a second with them...

CHRIS PHILPOT HAS GOT TO GO!  I DONT WANT HIM TO KICK ANOTHER BALL WHILE WEARING A CARDINAL UNIFORM....  that is unacceptable... MISSING a PAT... I can at least live with having a PAT blocked... BUT MISSING A PAT?!?!?! are you serious?

Where was the barefooted kicker?  I was wanting to see it!

Overall, good game... We needed this mainly because it was a NATIONALLY televised game on ESPN2 and our offense put up near 600 yards... so that should at least keep some talent interested...

Keep rollin Cards keep Rollin!

Game Ball... no doubt.. Mister Victor Anderson!

Curiosity Running Wild...

Ok, so the other day we all heard about the loss of big Clarence Halloway.  Even though he never really put on a Cardinal uniform, I don't recall seeing an article on him on this site.

So in case any of you missed it, even though we have T Jenn and SamSam comming in next year, we already lost DC and now we are losing another big man in Halloway.  Apparently he will never be able to take part in physical activities again with the disease he has been diagnosed with.

Also, I was browsing espn.com and found an article/contest where they are searching for "Title Town U.S.A."

Louisville has been named #2 out of 20 in contention... Which in my opinion to be recognized is a great accomplishment in itself...  you can read the story here...

Louisville tries to slug its way to TItle Town

so we will see what happens.

Enjoy yoursleves Ladies and Gents....

Watch Big Brown win the Triple Crown Saturday!

Changes...

From the rise and fall of the football program to the early exits from the basketball team.

Kragthorpe deserves at least 5 years, that way he can recruit "his players" and instill his system.  I also believe that he needs to show a hell of  a lot more emotions rather than stuff his playbook down the front of his trousers, cross his arms and stick out the "pouty" lip like a 4 year old...

I think Rick Pitino will regret forcing Derrick Caracter out the door, but I also feel that it may be best for the kid.  I mean I doubt if he was actually applying himself towards a degree.  Hell, he probablly hasnt even declared a major yet. Buy I wish him the best and wish he was still in a Cardinals uniform next season.

Earl Clark will not see much action next year.  Will he make an impact in the pros ever?  Possibly.  All-Star... I think not!  But I wish him the best too.

If Sosa is going to stay at the University of Louisville, I hope he grows a set over the summer, because he needs to understand that this is a team game and he can't win without the team...  He by far is not bigger than the program, he could leave and maybe only about 14 people would miss him.  However, on the other side, he could stay and melt away our hearts.  He has the talent... but does he have the passion?
