Wayne Blackshear's injury is a shoulder separation

"My face just dropped," said Blackshear, who wore a sling on Monday night after seeing a doctor at Rush hospital. "I'm just angry. I'm just really frustrated. I can't put on a show now." Morgan Park coach Nick Irvin felt awful for Blackshear, who had also had a knee injury during the high school season. "It's frustrating because he's a tough kid and he wants to play," Irvin said. "Like I told him, 'Big fellow, you made the game, you deserved to make the game. You're still a McDonald's All-American. It's written in stone.'"

Sorry For All the Football from Fox Sports 1

Do you dream of bathing in an unending wave of college football goodness? Do you ever feel like you just see too much of your girlfriend, the sun or your Jack Russell, Bo?  If so, do we have...

Was wandering around and saw this... Telling???

Creepy, I know, but what do we have to do now besides look to the future? I also watched mixtapes of Wayne and Chane. Wayne is nasty and Chane goes HARD in the paint (unlike Sumarshmellow Samuels did). Another thing I like about Chane is that he doesn't beat on his chest or try to show anyone up even after he makes a sick dunk or move.

Anthony Davis to visit Louisville with Blackshear this weekend

How awesome would it be if Davis committed? Awesome enough to put us back in top-5 recruiting class territory. This would be an enormous recruiting score.

Blackshear dominating Top 100 camp

Must. Keep. Penny Rogers by way of The Demling: When talking about "the best player" in the camp on the first day, the name Wayne Blackshear (photo) came up a lot around the media folks. The University of Louisville commitment from Chicago was sensational getting to the basket, running the floor and just in his all-around efforts through the first two games of the event. Blackshear had 22 points in the first two games and several 'wow' plays on the opening day. He also said he doesn't pay attention to the internet chatter about if he'll really end up at Louisville. Blackshear said "I am going to Louisville" and later in the interview added that "my commitment is strong."

Blackshear injured

Demling: University of Louisville junior commitment Wayne Blackshear has sustained an injury to his right foot and will miss between two and four weeks of action. The Chicago Sun-Times reports that Blackshear has a strained Achilles, but the Chicago Tribune quotes Morgan Park coach Nick Irvin saying it's only a sprained ankle. Blackshear suffered the injury during a victory last Saturday over Fenger when he finished with 39 points and 23 rebounds.
