The University of Louisville announced Thursday that Gorgui Dieng, a 6-foot-10, 215-pound center from Dakar, Senegal, who played last season at Huntington (W.Va.) Prep School, has signed a national letter of intent.
"Gorgui is someone who we put a lot of effort into recruiting," coach Rick Pitino said. "He has as much upside as any player I've ever recruited. He's 6-10, long, a terrific shot-blocker, and has a good shooting touch from outside. He'll work very hard to build up his body from 215 to 235. We expect him to be one of the better shot blockers that we've signed here at U of L."
