Marvin Stone dead at age 26
What the hell is going on?
Former Louisville center Marvin Stone suffered a heart attack and died today at halftime of a Saudi Basketball Federation playoff game. He reportedly walked off the court and sat down on a locker room bench, fell over, and never regained consciousness.
Stone, who was 26-years-old, had just signed with the Saudi Arabian club Al Ittihad Jeddah on Monday.
The former McDonald's All-American averaged 10.3 points and 7.1 rebounds in his lone season at Louisville, helping the Cards to a Conference USA tournament championship and a No. 4 seed in the NCAA Tournament. His most memorable moment in red came when he scored 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds in an 81-63 victory over Kentucky, the program he spent his first three collegiate seasons playing for.
"It feels good, really good," Stone said after the game. "It's a load off, but it's a big win. I'm thrilled and excited."
My thoughts are with Stone's family and friends.

Too much sad news in the last day
I hope his family can find peace; they are in my thoughts.
This also makes me relieved all over again that Clarence Holloway's heart problem was discovered when it was.
