Tyreke Evans sets a date

Louisville basketball fans should be sure to circle (or forcibly underline) Monday, November 12 on their calendars, for it is to be the day that American Christian (PA) supestar Tyreke Evans will announce where he will be taking his game after high school.

Evans has stated recently that Louisville and Villanova are his two leaders at the moment, but still lists Memphis, Connecticut and Texas as possibilities.

Considered the number one prospect in his class since seventh grade, Evans saw himself drop in the national rankings this past year after he was criticized for playing uninspired basketball. He has responded this summer by starring at the LeBron James Skills Academy, leading his AAU team to a national title, and earning MVP honors at the Nike Global Challenge.

According to Kevin Armstrong, 'Reke is spending his current days back in Pennsylvania participating in pick-up games against the likes of former Villanova stars Mike Nardi and Kyle Kyle Lowry, as well as current Wildcat point guard Scottie Reynolds.

"I think the rankings motivated me, but it's playing against the older guys that has gotten me this far," Evans told Armstrong. "I have to think like a college player even though I'm still in high school."
