West Virginia fans, still awesome

I've never been big on clichés, or establishing codes of ethics through art references for that matter, so I always zoned out when my elementary school teachers would go into "coloring people with the same crayon" or "painting people with the same brush" lectures. I also zoned out during math.

Apparently some West Virginia fan who'd learned that U of L was planning a "blackout" for the Nov. 2 game against his beloved Mountaineers was struck by the same divine ray of light that undoubtedly found its way into the minds of Edison, Ford and Carver, and decided to make a shirt that said "Fags Wear Black" to sport at the game.

He apparently was so proud of this groundbreaking approach to ridicule that he had a friend videotape him as he taunted Cardinal fans walking into the game.

NOT SHOWN: The Graham Bell-esque fan's reaction to witnessing his favorite team's national championship hopes go down in flames.

My home state WVU fans never fail to disappoint me
They are making the ordinary hard-working people in our great state who don't have any affiliation with WVU at all look bad.

And many of them don't even live in my home state of West Virginia.  Sad but true.

Yes I am a U of Kentucky fan but I always root for Louisville to win every other game, especially against WVU.  I can't stand the Mountaineers...

Actually my fellow W. Virginians are not that hostile to me.  Many of them especially in the W. Virginia coalfields say that U of Kentucky is their second favorite team.  Boy am I glad because these WVU fans are absolute nuts....

But even Kentucky fans would treated harshly by the WVU fans in Morgantown.  Every opponents' fans without exception are "enemies" to them.  Sad but true....

And sadly even my fellow ordinary W. Virginians and the WVU administration turns their eyes away from this junk most of the time, saying that since "they are fellow W. Virginians they aren't all that bad" and "I can't believe my fellow W. Virginians are capable of being this inconsiderate."

It's a shame.  I apologize to all U of Louisville fans for us good people in the Mountain State who hate this as much as you do.
