Ben Cotton commits to Nebraska

Four-star Ames High School (IA) tight end Ben Cotton won't be bringing his game to the 'Ville after all.

According to CardinalSports.com, Cotton - who verbaled to Louisville on June 28 - has now committed to Nebraska where his father, Barney, figures to be hired as an assistant coach by new head coach Bo Pelini.

Cotton has put up some monster numbers this season, including a 14 catch, 204-yard, two touchdown performance in his team's opening game. He is currently rated as the 18th best tight end in the country by Scout.com.

Louisville does have another tight end commit in the class of '08, West Boca Raton (Fla) standout Nate Nord, the nephew of U of L assistant Greg Nord. He is rated as the 45th best tight end in the nation by Scout, and remains firmly committed to U of L.

Damn
I guess I just lost a dollar.  I was going to tell Coach Kragthorpe that the starting TE next year was going to be Cotton.
