Douglas named Second-Team All-American

Senior Louisville wide receiver Harry Douglas was honored by the Associated Press as a second team All-American today.

He was the lone Cardinal honored by the AP.

In his final season at U of L, Douglas caught 71 balls for 1,159 yards and seven touchdowns despite missing two games because of an injury. His average of 115.9 yards per game ranked third in the country, and he was 13th in the nation in receptions per game at 7.1. He had a streak of seven consecutive games with at least 100 yards of receiving, and eclipsed the 100-yard mark in six of the ten games he played in this season.

Douglas leaves Louisville as the school's all-time leader in receiving yards in a season (1,265), receiving yards in a game (223), and is the only receiver in school history to put up back-to-back 200-yard performances. Despite playing just three seasons in the conference, Douglas graduates as the second leading receiver in the history of the Big East, just 123 yards behind Pittsburgh's Dietrich Jells (1991-95).

Congratulations to Harry Douglas, one of the finest we'll ever see here, on a number of levels.

branch
He surpassed Branch on pretty much everything. This guy should be a future stud in the NFL. Hopefully he can make it to a good team and perform right away.
