Durant up
Durant's averaging 22.6 points (#7 nationally) and 10.6 rebounds (#6 nationally) per game. At the least, he's gotta be the top Big 12 player.

Kid is just amazing. Just finished with 37 and 16 (7 offensive) against Colorado, including 5-7 from downtown.

Just sayin...

Elsewhere, I'm sorry about Petrino. Sucks a lot.

I figured you might object
I realize the stats are all there, but I'm still not sold on Durant as one of the 10 best players in the country. Maybe it's just that I'm taking too much from the LSU game, I don't know.

Great shooters are going to put up a lot of points in a lot of games (especially when they're 6-9), but great scorers will find a way to put the ball in the bucket or make their teammates better on nights when they aren't feeling it from beyond the arc. Durant's body and his post moves still leave me feeling uneasy about whether or not he'll be able to carry the Longhorns against some of the better defensive teams in March. He's like a better shooting, slightly smaller, at times equally timid LaMarcus Aldridge.

Still, he's a remarkable talent and the fab 50 is definitely subject to change.

As if it matters
Listen to me - nitpicking homer ;)

Good list all around, Mike.
