Reverse the ban

I'm new to posting here but have to rant somewhere because this makes little sense.

Does Dr Ramsey know that a self imposed ban will be looked upon favorably by the NCAA? Is throwing Damion Lee, Trey Lewis, as well as the rest of of the team under the bus for something they had no part in, going to mean anything to the NCAA in the coming months? Why punish the current team, the school, the fans and a city of over a million people for the actions of one person (Andre McGee)? The NCAA has been investigating NC for the last 3 years for far worse infractions that go so deep into their system it reportedly includes professors passing players that never attended classes. This practice supposedly went on for decades with the full knowledge of the administration and coaches! What McGee did was stupid and wrong and pales in comparison to all that NC has done and yet NC continues to play and recruit with impunity 3 years later with the infractions still mounting. They potentially will win a championship this year!

A self imposed ban at this time seems gutless. The time to do that passed months ago. This ban appears to serve one purpose. To maximize revenue for UL at the expense of the players, students and fans which is just plain cowardice. Let the NCAA do their job. It's time to stop punishing the victims and go after the people that actually committed the offenses! If you look deep enough, Katina Powell and her band of "escorts" were likely on other campuses as well. Perhaps IU, UK and others. What I don't understand is, if prostitution is illegal then why hasn't she and her escorts been arrested? Why hasn't McGee been arrested? Arrest them! Criminals punished! Problem solved! It really is that simple!

A self imposed ban? Who imposes it? We the fans, the players, the students and the community certainly didn't impose such a ban. Since when is the presidency of a university a dictatorship? A self imposed ban implemented without discussion and dialogue is what Iran, Russia, Al Qaida or Isis would do. For EACH of the 22,000 fans that fill up YUM center on game day there is another 10,000 watching on tv and the Internet all over the world. That's 22 gazillion people that aren't going to see the most exciting and lovable team that Louisville has ever had! Reverse the ban while u can!
