After decommitting from Connecticut, four-star shooting guard Prince Ali joins point guard Aaron Holiday in UCLA' s 2015 class.
The duo of top 50 prospects pushes the Buins to No. 7 in the 247Sports Composite team rankings.
A wiry bouncy athlete on the wing, Ali thrives in the up tempo game and can succeed in the half court game with his slashing move to the basket and steadily improving jump shot.
Ranked No. 42 by 247Sports and No. 34 in the 247Sports Composite, Ali had UCLA at 85% in his Crystal Ball.
Between Pitino's recruitment of Prince Ali and the tragic passing of Robin Williams I've had the Prince Ali song stuck in my head every day for over a month (You're partially to blame, Mike, for posting this) . Though I'm sure several of you are as disappointed as I am, it appears that Pitino and his staff had recently cooled off on their recruitment of young Mr. Ali in favor of turning up the heat on Perry Dozier Jr and Antonio Blakeney. I've also seen a report on 247sports that Donovan Mitchell is recruiting his former teammate and current 4-star prospect, Derrick Jones, on behalf of the Cards. Jones is an athletic (aren't they all), 6-foot-6 guard/forward from Pennsylvania. If I hear or read anything else (I'm still waiting for a call back from Bovada) I'll be sure to post it hear, while I attempt to stave off CC withdrawals in the midst of Mike's pending nuptials.
