Thoughts: Joe Manley is just that. Manley. Anyone who wants to challenge that claim feel free to take on the 6’6" 333 pounder yourself. Joe definitely has the size to compete in the ACC, but obviously that’s only half the battle. You need have ‘mad skillz’ as well. (That’s what the kids say nowadays) Joe got some PT in four games last year and will need to improve his technique to increase upon that impact this season. The first depth chart had him as the clear cut #2 at right guard and I believe that might hold true during the summer. I know I’ve beaten this dead horse three fold over the last couple weeks, but we need size, size and more size. A player like Joe can always be taught how to move his feet, but if we line up across from FSU or Clemson, even our most talented player can’t be 6’2" and 275lb.

Sweet Tweet:

I think everyone has a story about the "big fish". How you waited all night before the bite. How you spent an extended period of time trying to real it in. How you almost gave up 3 or 4 times before finally sealing the deal, and then once you finally reeled it in, how you immediately regretted the whole experience. Wait, we’re not talking about late nights at the bar?? Oh…

Nevermind. I don’t have any fish stories.
