The CCCC Animated Eight: (1) Scooby Doo vs. (2) The Simpsons

Simpsons-family-couch_medium

The Cybertron Regional was BRUTAL, to put it lightly. Scooby Doo, King of the Hill, The Flintstones, and The Simpsons sounds almost like a Final Four in and of itself. Separating two winners in Cybertron to compete for a trip back to Earth and Walla Walla, Washington; we're left with Scooby vs. Bart. Barney vs. Shaggy. Velma vs. Lisa, Fred vs. Homer and Daphne vs...well...Maggie I guess.

Who: One-Seeded Scooby Doo vs. Second-Seeded The Simpsons

The Line: Even

Where: Cybertron Regional: Megatron Court at Optimus Prime Arena

When: Right now through 6:50am Friday, July 4.

What's at Stake: The first shuttle ride back to Earth straight for Walla Walla; this matchup feels like it could be next Monday for the championship, and rightfully so. These two have been the most dominant shows in the bracket to date...with Scooby winning by an average margin of 33 votes in the previous three contests, and The Simpsons winning at a 29 votes-per-contest clip. Scooby and the gang dropped Inspector Gadget, then absolutely pole-axed Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids, then (surprisingly) ran right past Hank Hill and his neighbors and Strickland Propane and all their accessories to set up this epic battle of animation devastation. In similar fashion, the Simpsons beat up on Speed Racer, then did the same thing to X-Men, and then had a little rougher time with Flintstones (but who wouldn't have?) to get here.

Walla Walla and a date with either Futurama or Rocky and Bullwinkle is what lies at stake. Let's finish off the Final Four.
