Continuing with the Round of 64...

LIBERTY CITY REGIONAL:

(16) Total War vs. (1) Final Fantasy (Rapture)

After struggling early on, Total War prevailed against a game Megami Tensei Squad in the play-in game. But their run will likely end here. Final Fantasy will likely have no trouble getting to Liberty City.

(9) Kirby vs. (8) Fallout (Rapture)

Kirby is yet another powerhouse from Nintendo that got underseeded. They will take on the guys from the post-apocalyptic world of Fallout. Given how popular the Nintendo conference is, I think Kirby takes this one.

(12) TMNT vs. (5) Star Wars (Dream Land)

This is a very interesting one. All over the board there are great match-ups. Leonardo vs. Luke Skywalker. Michelangelo vs. Obi-Wan Kenobi. Donatello vs. Han Solo. Raphael vs. Chewbacca. Shredder vs. Darth Vader. This one is really a toss-up for me.

(13) Tecmo Bowl vs. (4) Mortal Kombat (Dream Land)

A classic football franchise vs. a well-known fighting franchise. Given that a lot of people love MK, and Tecmo Bowl was a popular game in the 80s, I think MK goes on, but Tecmo Bowl certainly has a fighting chance.

(11) Dragon Quest vs. (6) Super Smash Bros. (Rapture)

Dragon Quest (aka Dragon Warrior) gets the unfortunate draw of one of the two most underseeded teams in the entire challenge. Super Smash Bros. is one of the most beloved franchises ever. A great fighter with all our favorite Nintendo Characters. I don't foresee this one being close. Smash Bros. Easily.

(14) World of Warcraft vs. (3) Street Fighter (Rapture)

The Night Elves and Tauren of WoW will have their hands full in a battle against Ryu and the rest of the fighters from Street Fighter. This one is really a case of console gamers vs. PC gamers. Could go either way, but the winner will have a helluva fight on their hands in the next round.

(10) StarCraft vs. (7) Chrono (Dream Land)

Here we have yet another case of PC vs. Console, as one of the most popular MMORPG's goes up against A console RPG. StarCraft is pretty underseeded, but, I guess it depends on how many PC gamers show up vs. how many Console gamers do.

(15) Kingdom Hearts vs. (2) Call of Duty (Dream Land)

Continuing with the recent run of RPG's, Kingdom Hearts takes on one of the most famous and well-known FPS games of all time. Sora and the gang from Disney probably have the best chance to be the FGCU/Popeye of this challenge, IMHO. Cpt. Price and Sgt. Woods have a tough match-up on their hands.

MUSHROOM KINGDOM REGIONAL:

(16) Silent Hill vs. (1) Batman Arkham (ASEC)

After getting the most talked about snub from the CCCC, Batman wasn't about to miss out on the CCVGC. They powered their way though to a #1 seed. Despite being underdogs, Silent Hill was able to overcome the NCAA Basketball series. However, Batman Arkham will likely move on. And they'll have a very tough early test on their hands...

(9) Tales vs. (8) GoldenEye 007 (ASEC)

There is no way to describe it, other than GoldenEye 007 is one of the most beloved FPS games of all time. It is also without a doubt the greatest video game based off of a movie. The Tales series is a fun series in it's own right, but, It got a very unfortunate match-up. The Round of 32 in this region is going to be interesting...

(12) Star Fox vs. (5) Mass Effect (Reach)

Star Fox may not be as popular or well-known as Kirby or Metroid, but it's yet another great franchise from Nintendo. Mass Effect, meanwhile, is one of the most beloved RPG's today. In a challenge with many great 5-12 match-ups, this one is another toss-up.

(13) NBA Jam vs. (4) Grand Theft Auto (Reach)

Rockstar's Pride and Joy goes up against one of the most popular NBA video game franchises of all time. GTA is a fan-favorite that should probably have been a 2 or 3 seed. NBA Jam likely won't do well against the guns and other special abilities that help to make GTA so popular.

(11) King's Quest vs. (6) Doom (ASEC)

Two of the all-time classics. Doom is yet another classic FPS to make it into the field, and they are part of a VERY loaded #6 line. I can easily see this one going either way.

(14) The Sims vs. (3) Pokemon (ASEC)

And once more, we have PC vs. Console. The Sims is far and away the most popular PC franchise ever made, while Pokemon is the absolute bread and butter of handheld RPG's. The Sims will have trouble against Pikachu's deadly Thunderbolt, and Machamp's Dynamicpunch. The Sims could potentially put up a fight against the Pocket Monsters from Japan, but Pokemon will likely shred and burn their way through to the next round.

(10) FIFA vs. (7) Crash Bandicoot (Reach)

Oh, Crash Bandicoot. You were absolutely one of my favorite childhood games, if not my outright favorite. What has Activision done to you!? Anyway, Crash and his friends and enemies will have a heck of a match-up with some of the best Soccer players in the world. But ultimately, Crash, Coco, Cortex, N. Gin, and the rest of the Crash lineup will be too powerful. Crash moves on to the Round of 32.

(15) Tony Hawk vs. (2) Sonic the Hedgehog (Reach)

Sonic has obviously fallen from grace, but Tony Hawk fell victim to the same diggers that killed Crash Bandicoot. Anyway, Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles get to fight against great skaters such as Tony Hawk, Mike V., Chad Muska, and of course, Eric 'a-face' Sparrow. The skaters will have trouble evading Sonic's homing attack, while Knuckles's devastating punches will do serious damage. However, the skaters will probably have a few tricks up their sleeves, as they often do. But ultimately, I will give this one to our favorite blue hedgehog.

So now that you're all done reading my shoddy analyses, y'all know the drill... you got 24 hours.

PS: For anybody who doesn't know, ASEC = Aperture Science Enrichment Center.
