Fat Wayne just "naturally pretty"

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

Something incredibly surreal happened to me tonight. I am a physician working at a Chicago Hospital and just so happen to be on a 24hr call today (8am Friday until 8am Saturday). As I was working on our unit earlier a staff member approached me and said, "Dr. C, you like the Louisiville Cards, right?" To this I replied, "Absolutely, I finished med school there." She then proceeded to ask me if I wanted to see some interesting pics. I was intrigued and obviously the answer was yes. I was then shown several pictures of her twin daughters with their former boyfriends: Fat Wayne Blackshear and Anthony Davis. Weird, right? (Note: there was also a pic of one twin with Kevin Ware, but I didn't get the full details on that one.) She told me that Wayne had dated her daughter while living in Chicago and they were still friends and she even kept in contact with him.

Naturally, I had to ask the most burning question on my mind: "Does Fat Wayne wear guy-liner or is he just that pretty?" After she and some other nurses stopped laughing, she told me she could settle that one right away. Amazingly, she pulled out her cell and initially tried to Face-time him, but the connection wasn't going through. A minute later, someone called her cell by the name of "Wayne(basketball emoticon)(basketball emoticon)"!!! She put him on speaker, told him she was with one of his fans who just had to know the truth.

After asking him if he wears eyeliner, he chuckled (or cringed with embarrassment) and said no. She then told Wayne that she already told me that fact and he was just that "naturally pretty." I said a brief hello and that was it. The nurses then spent the next 10 mins or so describing FW's long, full, naturally luscious eye lashes. This short conversation completely made up for the fact that this has been an absolutely miserable call shift and I have been smiling ever since then. I had to share the news with my fellow cards fans: FW does not have to wear guy-liner to be so pretty!

Also, the staff member in question lamented the fact that Fat Wayne is "too skinny now"! Some people just seem to like a little more cushion for the pushin'.

In all fairness, she described Wayne as an excellent young man and felt grateful that she has gotten to know him over the years.

FYI, I've worked 36 of the last 48 hrs, so if things I said don't make much sense, that's my excuse.
