There has been a lot of talk lately about the questionable officiating of our games lately and I had a thought I wanted to run by you guys. Tell me what you think.
What if there were a 30 minute meeting before the game between each Coach and the game officials? In that meeting the Coaches could go over specific issues that they have concerns about. They could use video to illustrate the points VERY specifically and quote the official rules. Here's an example:
Ref, we are concerned that Randle has a habit of dropping his shoulder and bulling into the lane. He frequently charges into a player in fixed position and often is rewarded with the and one call. Now the rule says that the defender......... and as you can see in the video, that is clearly the case. However the call goes the other way in all of these examples.
Or we want you to be aware of how the Twins use their off arm to push off when driving the lane. Now just watch these five examples on the screen. The rule says specifically that .......... So this is clearly a violation of that rule and we want you to be very aware of this.
Or notice how the UK front line goes over the back of the opponent for all those offensive rebounds. (Show examples of these that go uncalled.)
You get the idea. Seems like it would get everyone on the same page if nothing else.
