Historic Louisville basketball games in their entirety

The final buzzer rang, his beloved Cards are heading home. No more final four hopes. No more Preston! Oh wait UK is about to lose to Princeton? Oh no, they won. "What an awful day" he says to himself. He walks to the cabinet to pour what remains of his Four Roses Single Barrel and contemplates the brighter days. Days long ago but not forgotten and wishes what it would be like to relive those days. He stumbles to the closet and brushes off the old VHS tape labeled "1986 second round vs Bradley". He walks to the VCR to put the tape in only to remember that he threw the VCR away in 2007! His breathing increases as a single tear falls from his eye. Surely this is what the bottom feels like. But then all of a sudden, like Angel Gabriel delivering the Ten Commandments to Noah, an email from my father with a single link to youtube appears in his inbox. The entire game of UofL vs West Virginia in the 2005 regional finals. It was in those next 97 minutes where he found the strength to move on and continue on his journey of life.

This is a dramatized excerpt from my memoir, although horrible losses are not the only reason to dust off the glorious victories of yesteryear. If you are like me, when Louisville is running full steam ahead in February, you cannot get enough Cardinal Basketball. So I decided to make a Fanpost where we can do some sort of stockpile of UofL games that are available online. For instance last night I watched the 1996 UL vs UC game called by Dickie V. There are a few others that I have found including some classic Paul Rodgers called games in the 80's, 1984 vs UC. I am not a professional Chron poster but I felt like this was a good place to post. Now you can bookmark this page and we can continually update with new links in the comments section as more gems become available.

Some other classics include:

The Dream Game

1986 National Championship

1980 National Championship

1980 Elite 8 vs LSU

1980 Final 4 vs Iowa

If you know of any other classics please post in the comments below.
