Hours after The Courier-Journal's Steve Jones reported that three-star running back Marlon Mack had committed to Louisville following an in-house visit from Cardinal coaches, Mike Singer of Rivals.com is also reporting that Mack has committed...to South Florida.
Marlon Mack has committed to... USF— Mike Singer (@Rivals_Singer) January 28, 2014
It was reported that Marlon Mack committed to Louisville today, but he committed to USF.— Mike Singer (@Rivals_Singer) January 28, 2014
At this time, Jones is not backing away from his original story.
As of now, I'm sticking with my report that Marlon Mack committed to U of L during a visit with him tonight. That absolutely happened.— Steve Jones (@SteveJones_CJ) January 28, 2014
Mack, who had previously committed to UCLA and recently picked up a scholarship offer from Michigan, would be a huge get for the Petrino staff just nine days before national signing day.
As always, recruiting is creepy.
And now, of course, this:
Marlon Mack's prep coach, Johnnie Jones: "Marlon did not make any decision on where he's attending." #DontShootMessenger— Joey Knight (@TBTimes_Bulls) January 28, 2014
Well I'd like to shoot somebody.
