Not a bad start to your Friday.
Rick Pitino landed his third commitment from the class of 2014 when four-star power forward Jaylen Johnson confirmed that he will play his college ball for the Cardinals Friday morning.
Johnson (Ypsilanti, Mich.), who stands 6'9, 210-pounds, is known for his athleticism, wing-span and ability to finish around the rim. The tremendous improvements he's made in his face-up game are one of the biggest reasons he saw such a boom in his recruitment this summer.
The other thing about Johnson is that he's young. He just turned 17-years-old, which means he probably should be entering his junior year of high school instead of his senior year. He's a late-bloomer in the same way Montrezl Harrell was.
Johnson, who was already set to take an official visit to Louisville on Sept. 20, has been considered a U of L lean since he was offered a scholarship at the beginning of the summer.

This is a guy who perfectly fits the mold for successful Louisville big men that we've seen recently. He has the athleticism, he has the size and, by all accounts, he has the desire to work and learn.
