Positives this week…

  • Hondo is gone
  • Edit: Aaaaaand now back.
  • In a week where we play BYE (the Brigham Young Extension? Boonville/Yadkinville Ecclesiastical?), the absolute worst team in college sports - guaranteed to lose every game, there is good news to report: UofL maintained its spot in the polls.
  • UofL's opponents are scoring 14% as many points. Oregon's opponents are at 18% and Ohio State is at 35%.
  • UofL managed to increase votes on a week they didn't play. Ohio State is starting to lose votes despite beating Wisconsin (dammit, I thought the cheeseheads could pull that one out).

Other Thoughts

  • We find out on Tuesday (or thereabouts) what the bye week did for our Heisman hopeful
  • I'm taking the over on the 33 point spread against Temple.
  • UCF - dammit, so close.
  • Conference spreads: Rutgers -7 over Southern Methodist, UCF -7 over Memphis, Cincinnati -12 over South Florida, Connecticut and Houston both have a bye week.

What I listened to while working the spreadsheets

Parting Questions

  • Is the Hondo you know better or worse than their replacement?
  • Who's beating the spread?
  • What does UofL have to do next week to up their game?
