College football is back and I am so ready to start the season. Let's look at the games being played tonight and highlight some games of interest:
6:00 PM North Carolina at No. 6 South Carolina
7:00 PM Indiana State at Indiana Big Ten Network
7:00 PM UNLV at Minnesota Big Ten Network
7:00 PM Tulsa at Bowling Green
7:00 PM Akron at UCF ESPN 3
7:30 PM Towson at Connecticut ESPN 3
7:30 PM Western Carolina at Middle Tennessee
8:00 PM Utah State at Utah FOX Sports 1
8:00 PM Jackson State at Tulane
9:15 PM Ole Miss at Vanderbilt
10:00 PM Sacramento State at San Jose State
10:30 PM Rutgers at Fresno State
11:00 PM No. 24 USC at Hawaii
What to watch:
Our AAC brethren: Obviously we are going to keep a watch and cheer for our fellow AAC members. Any win for the AAC is a win for our strength of schedule.
Battle for the Carolinas: Has UNC mastered the new schemes and style of play under Fedora? Can the secondary of UNC handle the Black Attack of South Carolina? Hopefully UNC can pull the upset, but I doubt it. Then again anything can happen first game of the season. (fingers crossed).
Rutgers vs Fresno: Dude, Rutgers, don't mess this up. We need you and Cinci to play well up until the time we beat the crap out of you guys. I'm just sayin...
USC vs Hawaii: USC is not ranked ahead of us, but they do play a team ranked ahead of us later in the season; Stanford. I believe Stanford is overrated, and a dominant USC team would give me a glimmer of hope for an upset later in the year.
Have fun, College football is back and I'm ready to roll!
