#10 Dominique Brown
Class: RS Junior
Position: Running back
Hometown: Cincinnati, Ohio
Thoughts: I know what everyone has been craving recently...Let's talk some more about our running backs. (*Groans*) Look, I'm just as excited as everyone else. I'm actually more excited than Jessie Spano on caffeine pills, more excited than a chubby kid at Golden Corral, more excited than Helen Keller at a water park...what? Too soon? Unfortunately though, this discussion has been beat to death recently due to our loaded backfield and the addition of a BCS Championship MVP. I'll try and keep my thoughts short and sweet. Brown was an absolute animal (actually I'll call him a Garanimal because he was just a young kid) back in 2010 when he got the opportunity to carry the ball. He blasted UK and USF that year and only finished behind Vic Anderson in rushing yards with far less carries. He was the #1 guy last season hands down in my opinion up until his injury. Coming into this new season my opinion hasn't changed. I love me some Perry, but Brown is the starting running back. Sure, Dyer and company will get their touches as well, but I think Brown is the go-to back when you need to get that extra yard. Yes, I realize Dyer's arms are bigger than some small children, but Dom ain't exactly Urkel! All reports show Brown is back to 100% and absolutely crushing people when given the opportunity. Come December 6th, when the regular season wraps up, I think you see Browns name at the top of the list for not only rushing yards but TDs as well. And if not....I'll come back and delete this post before anyone can rub it in my face.
Mann that's what we train for man, one man goes down the next man step up! RBs on deck! Lamb,Jerm,Perry and Brown— Dominique Brown (@hardbodynique) November 10, 2012
This is obviously from last season, but the message still applies. One man goes down, the next one has to step up. Luckily our 'next one' is pretty damn good too.
