#13 Andrew Risher
Class: RS Freshman
Hometown: Louisville, KY (Product of Christian Academy)
Thoughts: Andrew is a walk-on from Christian Academy. No disrespect to Mr. Risher, but if he sees the field this year we have MAJOR problems. I think Andrew has a great opportunity this season to study under the likes of Teddy, Bolin and Gardner and learn a few things about the position. Andrew had some decent stats for CAL and should be a good addition to the practice squad this year.
Sweet Tweet: Couldn't find a twitter account for Andrew...so I just got frustrated and decided to modifyTwitters logo instead.
I think it'll catch on.
#13 James Burgess Jr.
Hometown: Homestead, Fla
Thoughts: Burgess will be an absolute animal the next couple of seasons. I liked his production last year (28 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 2 interceptions and a forced fumble) as a freshman and I think his numbers skyrocket this season. James has the skills and the bloodline to become an All-American...seriously. Over the course of a few practices Burgess appears to have picked up right where he left off. Preston is the leader at linebacker but I think Burgess challenges him for most tackles this year and makes his mark on the defensive side of the ball.
Not trying to brag or anything but Burgess accepted my request and is now following me on Twitter. That’s right, the starting weakside linebacker for your Louisville Cardinals follows me and has an interest in what I have to say. Not sure how to put this but... I'm kind of a big deal.
