Peyton Siva's first Summer League game

Peyton Siva hit the ground running in his first summer league game in the NBA. Detroit knocked off the Nets 76-67 with an impressive showing in Siva's first game. Peyton closed out the game with 4 steals, 4 rebound, 6 assists, and 6 points and was named the Taco Bell Unsung Hero of the game. None of this comes as any surprise to Louisville fans who have been accustomed to seeing that type of performance from our former team captain. According to MLive.com Siva showed "his playmaking showed promise, as did his pick-and-roll acumen...When the Pistons needed a play, Siva was there." Maz Trak, the Detroit Pistons summer league coach is quoted as saying "I thought he did a real good job...I watched a few of his college games and I saw what he did well and he really understands the game. He understands the spacing, he understands when to make the pass and when to attack the basket. I thought him and Korie were both the keys to our win because I thought both of them played 'A' games." Detroit is in need of a true point guard and they found a player that can be a leader on the floor. If he can follow up his opening game and continue at this pace he definitely has a place on the roster and could see significant minutes.
