#36 Luke Brohm
Class: RS Sophomore
Hometown: Louisville, KY (Product of St. Xavier High School)
Thoughts: Brohm? The name sounds familiar but I just can't place it. Didn't we have like a secondary coach named Brohm maybe 5-10 years ago? I'm sure it'll come to me...
Luke is making a switch this year for the Cards. Since it seems like everyone named Brohm needs to be somewhat affiliated with the QB position at Louisville, Luke is taking a few steps back, literally and moving to fullback. As one might expect, Luke didn't see the field at QB last year with Sunny and Teddy getting the reps. At fullback there is some more opportunity for Luke, but with the emergence of Butler and Harrington, along with McGriff-Culver and Sharp, the position is quickly filling up. Luke walked-on from St. X a couple years ago and hopefully he gets a chance to produce on the field in the next couple years.
It is so hard to study when National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is on tv!— Luke Brohm (@theycallmesluke) December 4, 2012
Everyone has a list. The list of movies you stumble upon when surfing channels and realize that your next two hours are now occupied. Mine is honestly about 4 movies with 10-15 more being right on the edge. Between Thanksgiving and Christmas the above is definitely on that list. Any other time... The Dark Knight? Check. Oceans 11? Check. The Bourne Identity? Check. Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory? You bet your Snozzberries!
#36 Kevin Houchins
Class: RS Freshman
Position: Defensive Back
Hometown: South Euclid, Ohio
Thoughts: Kevin took a redshirt last year, and it might be an excellent move by the coaching staff. Kevin has shown some promise at corner and even beefed up another 10 pounds from last season to avoid getting pushed around. You can thank Coach Moorer. Kevin is listed as the backup to Floyd at the second CB spot right now and I think he'll see some decent time on the field this fall. With Floyd and Johnson being Juniors, I'll be looking forward to seeing Houchins and Gaines play this year as they represent the future on the corners.
Finally done unpacking I'm tired!— Kevin Houchins Jr. (@KevHouchins1) June 3, 2013
I've got a new theory. Bare with me as I haven't thought this all the way through, but I think there might be a correlation with how much fun you had on a trip to how long it takes you to unpack afterward. I go on a two day trip for work...usually have the stuff in the laundry within 24 hours. I go on a two day road trip with my buddies...the bag may sit there for a week before I finally get it washed. Maybe it's like a memento from the trip, where subconsciously until you unpack that bag the trip is still going on in your head..? Anybody else on board with this? To deep for a Saturday post? Sorry, enjoy this as my apology...
