Time, Television Set For Louisville - Kentucky Football Game

Jamie Rhodes-US PRESSWIRE

Let the party planning begin.

The 2013 installment of the Battle for the Governor's Cup, which will take place inside Lexington's Commonwealth Stadium on Sept. 14, will kickoff at noon. That's the meh news, the good news is that the game will be televised by ESPN.

This is the first time since 2007, when the series changed from being the first game every season, that the game has been on any network other than ESPNU or ESPNClassic in a year when it's been played in Lexington. Over that same time span, the game has been televised on ESPN twice and ABC once in years when it's been played in Louisville.

This is the first time the two teams have kicked off at noon since Kentucky defeated Louisville 31-27 in Lexington back in 2009.
