Louisville landed it's second commit of the day and it was a big one. Texas native, Daniel Gresham is the top ranked fullback in the country and he is headed back to his home state of Kentucky to play his college ball. Gresham picked Louisville over Alabama, Miami, Florida State, Ohio State, and Texas as well as other top programs.
Gresham will serve as a Brock Bolen type of player for Louisville in my opinion. He is extremely versatile and can do a lot of things in our offense. Bolen lined up as a single back, fullback, split back, I-Back, and even a little H-back. I think Gresham will do some of the same. He is a downhill "one cut" guy that can really separate in the open field. That is why he is so heralded as a recruit.
Not many guys can bring that kind of athleticism and size. Gresham will be on the field for the first game of his career and I think he will make an immediate impact. It might be as a blocking back and short yardage guy or it could be as an I-back running guys over. Either way, it's a major pickup for Charlie and his staff.
