So I've been watching the Youtube video of the full 1995 UK / UL game that Rutherford mentioned earlier. Dejuan Wheat and Tony Delk both are playing great and giving each other all they can handle. To me they're both excellent players (I hated Delk as a teenager). I'm trying to figure out why Wheat only got drafted 51st overall in the NBA draft and played sparingly in 2 NBA seasons. Delk on the other hand got drafted the year prior 16th overall and had a long, 10 year career in the NBA. I know Wheat ended his UL career with a wrist injury, but could a wrist injury have hurt his draft stock that much? Maybe one of you might remember why Wheat wasn't liked by the NBA?
