The Cardinal Countdown...78 days till kickoff

#78 Aaron Epps

Class: RS Sophomore

Ht/Wt: 6-7/279

Position: Offensive Line

Hometown: Tucker, GA

Twitter: @_Aaron78Epps

Thoughts: Aaron has been on the squad for a couple years now, and although he hasn't seen a ton of playing time he has steadily built up his size and weight to try and compete for a spot on the offensive line. I looked at last years countdown and the big concern then was adding weight. It looks like he only added five pounds over the last year. While not great, I'm sure that’s five pounds of pure muscle and not five pounds of KFC (I ate the bones!) All reports show that Epps is doing what he needs to do in order to earn some time on the field and I'm hoping he gets that opportunity this year. Aaron was listed as the #2 left tackle for the Spring game so it appears his time is coming and will surely get a few reps against Ohio.

Sweet Tweet:

I took five years of Spanish while in school and couldn't talk myself out of an El Nopal. For some reason all I remember is "dónde está la biblioteca?" (Where is the library?) If stuck in Mexico, I'm crossing my fingers they serve beer in Mexican libraries.

#86 Matt Milton

Class: RS Junior

Ht/Wt: 6-5/205

Position: Wide Receiver

Hometown: Belleville, Ill

Twitter: NA

Thoughts: Matty Mill is the tall drink of water who landed in The Ville via a short pit stop in Tennessee. I remember someone else who shunned Tennessee for Louisville but the name is escaping me right now. I'm sure I'll think of it later. Matt adds some depth to the already ridiculously loaded wide receiver core. I mean, Teddy has to just be salivating at all the weapons he has this year. Milton is no slouch either, coming out of HS he was ranked as the 17th best wideout in the country. Matt will be a nice outside threat who can not only get the "jump balls" in the corner, but also has some get up and go as well. Don't get me wrong, "Spiderman" a.k.a. "Six Point Parker" will still get a lot of looks in the endzone, but now we can spread the field with two viable options on the jump ball....and maybe Eli or Honey Mustard on a crossing route...and Michaelee running the post....and Quick running a hitch and go....can we have 6 wideouts on the field at once? Oh, this is gonna be fun!

Sweet Tweet: No twitter but check out this video to see some highlights of Matt. Not the best compilation but showcases some of his speed and agility.

I'm no Genius, but maybe that defense should start looking for that screen pass...?
