#79 Jamon Brown
Position: Offensive Tackle
Hometown: Louisville, KY (Product of Fern Creek High School)
Thoughts: Jamon got a full year on the offensive line under his belt last season. Jamon started every single game at the right tackle position and improved dramatically from 2011. At 6-6 and 350 pounds he is actually pretty damn quick on his feet, making him solid in both pass protection and run bocking . I would be surprised to see Jamon anywhere but RT this year, although there were some rumblings about potentially shifting some guys around trying to fill the void of loosing both Kupper and Super Mario. While the OL might need a couple games to work out all the kinks, Jamon should be a cornerstone.
I swear I feel like people jus happy to be in the sugar bowl! NEWS FLASH: we are here to win it! Not jus play in it!! Get focused!!— Jamon Brown (@NFLBOUND_jBrown) January 1, 2013
At some point in time, we'll look back and say Charlie Strong was one of the best coaches/motivators at Louisville of all-time. The guy has had everyone dialed in since day one. It's one thing to say it, a completely different thing to get others to truly believe it.

#87 Kai De La Cruz
Class: RS Junior
Position: Wide Receiver
Hometown: Montvale, NJ
Thoughts: Kai, although listed as a wide receiver, he is really the punt returner. He only had one grab last season and really wasn't targeted much when on the field. I'm not sure what the future holds for Kai as it appeared he was becoming the main man hauling in punts, but then saw a decent amount of time at wideout during the Sugar Bowl. I think we all had some "oh crap" moments with Kai last year, and while one play is never the reason for wins or losses, two of Kai's fumbles happened against Cincy (OT game) and UConn (OT loss) showing just how important it is to hold onto the ball. I'm be interested to see how the coaches use him this year and I'm sure he'll be more polished wherever he might land.
Really fought hard to not include a "Cobra Kai" comment like last year, just wanted to throw that out there. Thought it would be a little bush-league and might place my professionalism in a theoretical body bag. Damnit.
Dunk contest gets worse and worse every year remember when I use to get hyped to watch it now it's just #SAD— Kai De La Cruz (@KaiDeLaCruz87) February 26, 2012
Agreed. Jordan, Nique, Spud, Vince Carter, Jason Richardson...I had a Dee Brown poster in my room of the "cover my eyes" dunk. Step it up NBA! I'm putting Jurich in charge of the dunk contest.
