I'm guessing most on here are not NBA fans. So I would also guess that most of you did not watch the Thunder vs. Rockets in game 3 on Saturday night. If you missed it, you missed a heck of a game by our very own Francisco Garcia. He dropped 18 points on the Thunder and hit a (at the time) huge three to give Houston the lead with under a minute to play. But a column by publicly-beloved Gregg Doyel discusses his defensive effort against the greatest scorer in the league. The Rockets were down by 25 points when they turned to Cisco. If not for a series of supremely fortunate bounces on one shot in particular by Durant, we could be talking about a 2-1 series and the Thunder without Westbrook instead of a 3-0 series which is practically over. In fact, the Rockets are a little unlucky not to hold a 2-1 lead themselves.
Look for more from Cisco tonight at 9:30pm on TNT. It's good to see him getting a long overdue playoff opportunity. He is taking full advantage of it. Sat night he had 18 points on 7-13 shooting (4-8 from three), 5 rebounds, 1 steal, 1 TO, and 3 blocks in 32 minutes. But his defense (including 5 fouls) was equally, if not more, important.
