Louisville Basketball Receives Praise From Washington

Andy Lyons

The praise for Rick Pitino and his national champions from Louisville has been rolling in from just about every angle, including Washington D.C.

Pitino received a call from President Obama on Wednesday, who talked about what an exciting national championship game this was. He also offered his congratulations and said he looked forward to meeting the Cardinals at the White House soon.

The praise continued on Thursday, when Rep. John Yarmuth congratulated both the men's and women's teams from U of L on their tremendous seasons during a speech on the House Floor.

It's good to be the champs.
