The old school CJ's own Dave Kindred argues for Tark to be in the HOF
I always viewed UNLV as a brother program when I was growing up in the 80s and early 90s. They were an outsider, like Louisville. They were not part of a major conference and yet they still won big games and championships. And with Tark winning his lawsuit (or settlement) with the NCAA, his name has been cleared. The guy won by thinking outside the box, and his accomplishments at lesser schools are very noteworthy. the guy did things his way and won 778 games, including a national title in 1990 coaching one of the greatest basketball teams ever put on the floor, whether college, pro, or international. The amoeba defense lives on in versions that both Louisville and VCU employ, and to a lesser extent, Arkansas. Time for he and Pitino to be in the HOF. And while we're at it, time for Howard to be in the football HOF.
