New Metro conference tournament to be held in Hartford?

According to some guy, that 's what going to happen.

Not sure what the new league will be called, but reviving the old Metro name might not be a bad idea, considering the largest plurality of members once played in that conference.

Without NYC as a location, they should probably look to Nashville or Cincinnati or even Louisville, though that would be unlikely as we would only be a member for a year. But Nashville would be close for Memphis, Cincinnati, Louisville, and within reason for Houston and SMU. it would also be a southern trip for those stuck in the frozen north (UConn, Temple, Rutgers for one year), and Nashville has plenty of entertainment. USF doesn't send any fans to NYC, but maybe Nashville would be a little easier to pull off. And no one cares about UCF, so whatever.

Anyways, I just don't understand how anyone affiliated with the new version of the Metro conference could possibly go along with this Hartford nonsense. I think this guy just made it up because he went to UConn or something and that's where he wants it.
