I know this is going to come off bias, especially because if were still undefeated there is no way I’d even be thinking about this. However the one thing that I believe throws everyone off are rankings in general. Ranking come out even before games are played. Ultimately the perception of your team plays a major role into how all this stuff works out. I look at our season and people we faced. Everyone kept saying we don’t play anyone, and yet UCF almost beats South Carolina and ultimately beats us. So now are we not up to par or is UCF just now a legit team? If UCF was ranked would we have fallen so far? You look at teams like Clemson or Miami who get crushed by Florida State. Is that really the margin of difference between a 2nd place team and the 10 place team? It is my belief that the only thing college football has right is when they reveal the BCS standings in my opinion I believe no ranking should be released until after games have been played. Let people see how good teams are before rankings come into play. I don’t see it having a negative effect on the game at all, it would place teams in their rightful spot and gives voters a chance to rank a team based on events that happen during the season. Teams like Miami and Georgia maybe aren’t ranked as high after losing a lot of key guys through the season. Ultimately I just hate the fact that we are now getting over looked because we lost to a team that deserved more recognition than it initially got. I know for a fact that we deserve to be ranked higher. I simply believe that if they release rankings later in the season versus having them out all year it would benefit the system, and the teams. What do you think?
