Louisville Baja Wins Again

Finishline_medium

Despite the largest field in the race's history, Louisville Baja has once again won "Midnight Mayhem". "Midnight Mayhem" is an invitational off-road race hosted by the Louisville chapter of the Society of Automotive Engineers. Universities from around the world are invited to race head-to-head for 4 hours under the lights at Podium 1 Motoplex in Charlestown, IN.

The 2013 running was the biggest yet with 60 cars registered and 56 making it into the 4-hour endurance race. After passing a safety inspection, the teams were challenged with two dynamic events that would test their vehicles' drivetrains and suspensions. Louisville's #9 car finished 1st and 3rd while their #96 car finished 2nd and 4th respectively.

After 4 hours of grueling off-road racing, Louisville Baja's #9 car emerged victorious with a 6-lap margin over the 2nd place car, #96 also from the University of Louisville. Ohio State University rounded out the top 3 with their 3rd place finish.
