Sellout the spring game

Stay connected for news and updates

As I bask in the afterglow of the most impressive Louisville football win in history, I asked myself, "Self, what can I do to show my appreciation to Coach Strong and his team?" So, like many of you, I came here to the best blog in the world, to share my enthusiasm. I read the posts, commented on the comments, rec'd and green'd like it was my job. But, with all of the virtual reality bubbling over, I felt like something was missing. But what?

Well, I come to you with a humble, simple request. Go to the spring game.

I have never been to a spring football game. It's just not been on my radar, even though I am a season ticket holder. But in the middle of April, I've always been thinking more about my Derby plans than our offensive game plan. This year, however, is different. I'm a proud Cards fan, an alumnus who owes my current career to everything I learned in the business school at UofL, and I want to start a movement to sellout the spring game.

It's a big step, I know. But we don't do things small here in Louisville. Ever seen that bat downtown? How about a horse race that is the most iconic image in the history of it's sport. So, yeah, we do it right in the Ville. And I think we can do a spring game like never before in 2013.

Rain or shine. Hell or high water. We will sell out the spring game. Are you with me?
