After all the "We're having a welcome" / "There's no welcome, that's later" back and forth that's been going on all day, I didn't expect that many to show up. But when I got to the stadium, the lot was parked full and I was scrambling to get a spot.

Not only was I surprised, the players seemed knocked for a loop. I heard more than once, "Wow, didn't expect this!"

Way to go Cards fans - that's what growing up is all about. And, not only was it the sports nerds that we all love (and are) but families showed up! Little kids clutching their posters and footballs, sporting their favorite UofL hoodies and looking like they were lined up for Christmas 2.0.

Altogether it was a great time and I'm glad I went. Here's a few of the photos. I was torn between getting shots and recording the video, so I snuck a few in between some of the vid capturing.
