Too soon…?

Screw it. What an amazing game from the whole squad to cap off an incredible season. I think this is a year ahead of schedule as far as most folks were concerned, which makes my mouth start to water to even think about next season and getting the Cardinal Countdown rolling. Believe me, I will enjoy this moment as much as anybody but let me take a second to look forward to the future of the program and who makes me feel as giddy as a 12 year old girl inside…

#94 Lorenzo Mauldin - “Maulin’ Mauldin” was back and close to 100%. Florida did not enjoy him, others will not either.

#91 Marcus Smith - HUGE game last night. Finally got healthy and showed speed and power off the corner and up the middle. Guy will be an animal.

#82 Eli Rogers - If you followed the countdown over the summer my respect for this guy was off the charts. Somehow, my love for this kid has grown even more. He simply makes the catch/play when it needs to be made

Offensive Line - Won’t single anyone out, but if the returning guys play like they did last night Teddy will pick apart every defense he faces…easily.

#25 Calvin Pryor - Special, special player. Keeps his head on a swivel, plays the position like a veteran already.

#13 James Burgess Jr - If you weren't impressed with this young gun last night, rewatch the game. He is a freshman and a will be a nightmare for opponents for the next few years.

#9 DeVante Parker- Spiderman is approaching Eli status in my book. He makes the catches when they need to be made and pulls down touches like no other. Amazing athlete.

#2 Preston Brown - A healthy Preston is something that NO TEAM wants to face. There are quite a few Gators with bumps and bruises who can vouch for that. Played with incredible focus all night.

#5 Teddy Bridgewater- I can say nothing that hasn't already been said. Enjoy next season because he will be walking NFL sidelines in two years. Period.

I loved this season. I loved this team. Well done boys, well done.
