Apparently the Big East is exploring a name change to accurately reflect the new geography of the conference. As the former interim commissioner said in the Bloomberg article, the Big East "extends four time zones in major markets. In one sense, it almost represents the United States in that diversity." Sounds like he's pretty upset CUSA is taken.

They've "commissioned a study" to identify potential new names. Of course, that's money poorly spent. They could have just let the Chronicloids have at it in the comments section.
