Michaelee Harris Suffers Another Knee Injury

Stay connected for news and updates

Sophomore wide receiver Michaelee Harris suffered yet another knee injury during one of Louisville's practices on Thursday. The severity of the injury is unknown at this time, and a source says U of L will not update Harris' status until Friday.

This marks the fourth knee injury Harris has suffered since arriving at U of L. The Miami native redshirted the 2010 season because of an MCL injury and then missed spring practice in 2011 after tearing the PCL in his other knee during winter workouts. He started all 12 games during the 2011 season before tearing his ACL prior to the Belk Bowl.

Harris caught 37 passes for 455 yards and had a pair of touchdowns as a redshirt freshman in 2011, good for second-best on the team in all three categories. His 37 receptions were the third-most ever by a freshman at Louisville, and his 455 receiving yards the second most.

Regardless of the severity, this is starting to feel beyond fair. Harris is an extremely gifted player whom Louisville fans have yet to see play at 100%, despite the fact that this is his third fall camp as a Cardinal.

Here's hoping that's still a possibility.
