Louisville’s Take: Talented receiver who can't stay away from the injury bug... coming off a solid spring... was healthy for the first time since last season and showed good burst... has been productive when in the lineup... showed good speed and an ability to make plays.
Thoughts: Poor Damian. If I didn’t know any better I would think he was our starting power forward with the number of injuries he’s had over the last few years. Last year he got one game under his belt, and the year before that he played in seven. The good news is that Copeland has been straight gangsta this year at wideout. Proof…?
Coaches say his route running skills have improved both "front, back and side to side".
Word from spring practice and even this fall was that Damian was one of the best on the field in terms of overall performance. We’ve covered the depth at WR, but with Harris gone for the year, I’d think Copeland and McNeal will fill that void. Back in 2010 in the limited action he saw Copeland was averaging 14.1yds/catch. I think a injury-free Damian is a big asset to the offense this year. Keeping my fingers crossed that Damian stays healthy and becomes a big contributor to the 2012 Big East Champions football squad.

Today marks seven days till kickoff. What this means is that one week from this very moment you'll probably be getting the tailgate setup or already three beers deep depending upon how hard you go. I can start to smell it...the time is quickly approaching...football is almost here.
